Align Your Actions With Your Priorities

What I was reflecting on today was a lesson I learned many years ago from Dr. DeMartini’s Values Factor teachings.

Align your actions with your priorities

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a Message from the Pond. I haven’t made time for my visits, which tells me I am out of alignment. Align your actions with your priorities is something I value. When I don’t prioritize what matters most, I feel unbalanced. If I want to feel aligned, I need to focus on what truly matters.

One way I know I’m in alignment is when I take my daily walk around the pond. It’s my time to process the day, decompress, and reflect. Recently, though, life has gotten in the way. It’s easy to say I haven’t had time, but the truth is, I haven’t made the time.

Today, I decided to make the time. It felt so good! You can see it in my face in the picture. As I walked, I reflected on a lesson I learned years ago from Dr. DeMartini’s Values Factor teachings.

Dr. DeMartini says we prioritize what matters to us. But when you compare your priorities to where you actually spend your time, they often don’t match up. For example, many people say “family” is their priority. But when they check their schedule, work comes first. Family might not even be second. It could be much lower on the list.

I reflected on this at the pond today. Nature, especially the pond, is a top priority for me. It’s a key part of my self-care. So why has it been so long since I visited? I love being at the pond. But I could come up with excuses. That wouldn’t help me.

I need to spend more time reflecting on why. Once I do, I’ll share my thoughts.

In the meantime, what’s at the top of your priorities list that you haven’t made time for lately? How can you align your actions with your priorities and make time for it today?

As your business grows, you’re moving beyond solopreneurship. Managing your client base and revenue is getting more difficult. It’s tough to stay focused on marketing, sales, and client retention. Community support is crucial for your success, and now you need help. Align your actions with your priorities by recognizing that you need an assistant.

Hiring a VA is essential for both your business and your sanity. Once you bring on your VA, ensure your systems and tools support team collaboration. Align your actions with your priorities by making documenting processes a key responsibility for your VA. It’s time to run your business like a “real” business and focus on what matters most.
